Understand the Culture and Construction of the Angkor Wat period; Excellent 3-day tour package

This was an excellent tour package. Our tour guide Pal, was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and told us countless stories using the inscriptions and figures carved into temple walls. He provided us with history and context and made the temples come alive for us! As a result of the stories and our follow-up conversations, we also received more insight into other religions, particularly Hindu and Buddhists beliefs/tenants. We had some eye-opening/mind expanding conversations. Pal was great about answering our questions and he also had a good sense of humor.
We got so much more out of our time at Angkor Wat and surrounding area temples because we had a knowledgeable tour guide. In addition, Pal timed many of our visits so that sunlight would be hitting the temples at the right time and providing good lighting for photographs. Often he would take us to areas and say "look there" and in front of us would be a nicely framed photograph.
We felt our tour guide went above and beyond. We were interested in some of the plants and agriculture of the area and Pal would stop the vehicle and point out plants or explain some aspect of culture that we were curious about.
When we expressed interest in some local folklore, he explained it to us, gave us examples and stories, and even called his mother, to give us more details!
We believe the tour package gave us a much better understanding of the temples, the kings, and the culture and life of the temple time period. The tour package and our guide Pal gave us excellent value for our money. We highly recommend this tour and company. Very friendly and service-orientated.
Temples galore!

I had no idea the vastness of the temples & their history. Was so much to see & very different. We covered alot of ground but with the convenience of a constant pick ups/drop offs. My guide Sopphea Tham was so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and with his experience I captured some special pictures. He was very knowledgeable & informative on Cambodias ancient & recent history adding valuable context to the ruins seen. The waterfall alone was worth visiting kulan mountain however theres more to see.
Angkor Wat

I was planning to tour Angkor on my own. I had planned to hire a Tuk Tuk and refer to a guide book. I am so glad I din't. The Temples are vastly spread out and have a lot more history than you can imagine. I am glad I took the help of a tour guide.Happy Angkor tour was just what I needed-they sent me a guide and a driver. Our guide-Mr.Sopheap was very knowledgeable and made our visit worthwhile. I would not have appreciated the history of Angkor without him.
Cambodia three day tour of Ankgor Wat and Kulen mountain

Great three days. The tour guide Chandri was passionate about Cambodia and very knowledgeable. In depth description of all aspects of the temples and history. Always on time and accommodated any changes we required to our schedule. Chandri was brilliant at taking photographs and advising on what made the best photo's. Constant supply of cold bottled water and cool towels. All very enjoyable.
One word: "Amazing"

I will not write what the tour was about as you can easily access that info on their website. However a few notes that may be helpful are:
1) firstly Mr. Mony (owner of the company) - thank you for being fast and responsive with your emails.
2) our tour guide, Chandra (aka "Mr.C") - I could spend hours talking great things about him. Kind, Friendly, knowledgable, made the whole tour a real pleasant experience.
3) important thing: after the first day of seeming the major temples we found we've seen enough temples and asked to change our itinerary. No problems with that, Mr. C suggested some other things to do and we chose the floating village and a local arts school where they showed us how they carve, paint, make things from silk etc. Also he recommended one beautiful temple on day 2 and one on day 3 which were on our way.
4) one could probably end up saving some money by taking a local taxi to all sites but those few extra dollars are well worth having an English speaking guide who can provide you with tons of information about local history and current information, and also having a cold water provided every time to come back to the car and those ice-cold lemon scented towels are a real blessing in 40-degrees heat. That was a nice surprise and an "icing on the cake".

I would highly reccomend this tour company and Mr.C as a tour guide! If you're ever in Cambodia this is definitely something you need to check out!
