Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple
Drive to Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple. travelling there on the winding dirt road, especially by motorbike, could be very tiring. However, passing past scenic views of the Cambodian countryside, featuring paddy fields, small farms and limestone formations, covered in dense vegetation, should suitably compromise.
The mountain is a hulking limestone karst, which houses many hidden chambers, rocky outcrops and stalactites, formed by calcium carbonate solution. The largest cave is the home of an ancient red brick temple resting under a massive rock formation resembling an eagle. Phnom Chhngok Cave temple was probably erected during the 7th century, particularly within a pre-Angkorian era known as the Funan period in Cambodia.

Brateak Krola Lake
Secret Lake or Brateak Krola Lake isn't really a lake at all. The secret lake is actually a dam. During the Khmer Rouge era, a dam was built with slave labor. It's a huge lake, especially for a man-made one. It is well worth the journey. This is the Cambodia we had hoped to discover.

We really enjoyed the tour and saw many different beautiful places around Kampot. The longest stop was at the pepper plantation, where it was possible to eat something as well. Between the bigger stops our guide pointed out interessting things.

Fantastic day out! Roy took us out in his Tuk Tuk to all 4 destinations while teaching us about them. He spoke fantastic English and was a great laugh! Definitely recommend!
Great vignette of Kampot's countryside

This was a really great tour for getting to see the countryside of Kampot. Getting to all the locations requires going through a lot of small villages, and the views were great. The cave we visited was very scenic and the secret lake was beautiful. The pepper plantation was interesting, and the guide there did a great job explaining all the differences with the peppers. Would recommend to anyone!
The countryside tour in Kampot with flavors

It was a good tour with our guide/tuk tuk driver Roy. Although no salt in the field because of wet season, I enjoyed the tour. Especially La plantation pepper farm!
Also the guide Roy told us the history of the secret lake and the situation in Cambodia.
Thank you Roy.

It will be a good experience for you.
