Loved it! The market trip was interesting and educational. The dishes weren't too difficult to make but were delicious!
Fantastic cooking class!

My daughter, her boyfriend and I attended the class on 31 December 2019.
It was so much fun! We laughed so much and learnt a lot. Chef was funny and had a contagious laugh :)
We had a set three menu course to cook. We went for a walk to the market and then discussed afterwards. When we finished we received a certificate, spices and a recipe book.
A fantastic half day course - highly recommended! We will be back next year!
Our first Cambodian food was delicious and interesting!

The lesson in the cooking class were very smooth and enjoyable. We enjoyed talking with people from all over the world. There is just one disappointing thing. The market passage was so narrow that most of the students could not hear the teacher's explanation.
Amazing and interesting class

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of taking part in the Champey cooking class and really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely and very knowledgable. We cooked three courses (fresh spring rolls, Amok fish curry and fried banana with coconut milk and honey). The class takes you through each of the steps with the chef explaining the process and the spices. Great introduction to Cambodian cooking.

The only point I’d make is we attended the evening class and when we arrived the chef pointed out that some parts of the market were closed due to the time and indicated some reluctance. However, we asked if we could still go as it had been outlined as part of the class and would add to the experience. The chef happily agreed to go to the market and it was a good experience all around with us getting toast about local fruit and veg. The reason for writing this - whilst only parts of the market may be open be sure to go it’s a great experience and would be a shame to miss out.

Overall we loved the class :)
Vegetarian, made it work

Ran into some issues (the message I sent about our food restrictions didn’t make it to the actual chef) and had a few awkward moments pointing out that chicken stock isn’t actually something we’d include. However, they were very understanding and accommodating and provided alternatives to make it a great experience.
