What To Expect

Phnom Kulen National Park
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and take you to purchase a Phnom Kulen ticket. We will then head to Phnom Kulen National Park for approximately 1 hour. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies and traditional dwellings. Stop off at the Palm Sugar Village and witness how Cambodian people make their own sugar to supply their families and villages.

Afterward, we continue to the hilltop of Phnom Kulen, and our knowledgeable local guide will take you to the most spectacular tourist attractions in the national park, including the largest and most beautiful waterfalls, the reclining Buddha sculpture, and the River of Thousand Linga, which was constructed in 802 AD.

This temple is heavily overgrown with vegetation, trees, lianas, and mosses. This temple is surrounded by a rainforest due to it being abundant for over 300 years. When it is not fully restored, many local and international tourists fall in love with the area.

Awesome Cambodian experience
jpherrerat, 13-08-2022
I had an unforgettable time on this trip during my stay in Siem Reap. I found the itinerary to be much more flexible than that of other tours with a larger group, as this is a very intimate and prívate experience allowing for a very informative and pleasant one-on-one interaction with the tour guides. I had the pleasure of being lead by Hope as a tour guide and Pat as the driver. Both constantly ensured I was comfortable, treating me to water, cold towels, and even local snacks. Their English was excellent and I was very surprised to know Hope also speaks to an impressive extent. They answered all my questions regarding Cambodian culture and history as they popped up and went out of their way to share their culture with me, enriching myself visit to three very unique highlights of siem reap and it’s surroundings. I found this tour to be very helpful as well due to the fact that I had a tight schedule and this was the only tour that offered these three experiences —kulen mountain, the Beng Mealea temple, and the Tonle sap village and lake— all in one day. Additionally, as of now paying the entrance fee to the temples included in this tour also grants you entry into other temples including angkor wat. It is a multi-day entrance permit. Definitely a tour highly recommended if you’re in the area.
Very productive tour!

I had this tour trip on 16-July-2022.
This tour is quite unique because I was looking for a day tour to see as many as possible places outside Angkor and Siem Reap within a day, but companies offer only either Tonle Sap Lake or Phnom Kulen or Beng Mealea trips separately. This one covers them all in a day, which is perfect.

I was picked up at 8:00 AM in my hotel lobby by driver Mr. Path with guide Mr. Bunchhoub. First you're going to Kulen Mountain, which we've reached by 9:30 AM. Take note that while heading there you make a stop to buy ticket to enter mountain area, which is $20. While approaching the mountain, Mr. Bunchhoub kindly agreed to make an extra stop for 10 min to visit Banteay Srei temple, which is on the way and is a memorable place to visit (I would include this temple to the program for just 10-15 mins, as well). On the mountain we've visited cliff with breathtaking views, waterfall, temple with Buddha on top of the rock and carvings in a river, before heading to Beng Mealea by around 1:00 PM. From 1:00 to 2:00 PM we had lunch near the entrance and then explored Beng Mealea. By 4:00 PM we've reached Tonle Sap Lake where you're having a boat ride, walk down the main road of Kampong Phluk and see the lake on a boat. Take note, that you will also need to pay $22 for the boat ride at the entrance. By 6:30 PM I was brought back to my hotel.

Driver Mr. Path is came very prepared - he always provides you with cold bottle of water when you finished previous one and he has a lot of cold fresh towels to cool you down after you explored each location under the heat.

Guide Mr. Bunchhoub is very experienced, helpful and passionate guide, I've been asking a lot of questions and learnt a lot! We had a good time with positive vibes that day.

I had a 1-day pass to Angkor (for 15-July) but nowadays it is actually issued for 2 days (till 16-July in my case) so I managed to go freely to Beng Mealea (and Banteay Srei temple). So make sure you have a valid pass for this day you're having a trip.

Thank you very much for opportunity to explore as many as possible places around Siem Reap and Angkor are within a day, it was really productive! I would suggest to include quick stop for 10-15 mins at Banteay Srei temple since it is on the way to mountain. Thanks to Mr. Bunchhoub for kindly including it in my trip!
Ending our vacation on a high note!

I booked this tour because I wanted to experience the lesser known places in Siem Reap, outside the Angkor Wat complex and I am so glad that I did. Our guide Mr Sunny, is a wonderful man, ready with stories of the places we went to and about Cambodia in general. Our driver, Mr Handsome, doubled as our wonderful photographer. A good tour makes you fall in love with the places that you visit and that's exactly what this tour did for us. Kulen mountain has some of the most breathtaking bird's eye view of the city I have ever seen. The waterfall was gorgeous and the surroundings, mystical. I thought I would be temples out after the previous day's of temple touring but Beng Melea was worth the visit - a temple truly lost to the nature. Taking the boat down Kampong Phluk was relaxing and a perfect way to end the trip. All in all, I could not have asked more from this tour. Mr Sunny and Mr Handsome are just wonderful people!
Fantastic tour - definite must do in Siem Reap!

Wow! Absolutely fantastic tour today! Loved every minute of it! Sunny is a great guide really knowledgeable and kind.
The views were incredible, the 1000 lingas river and waterfall were lovely. The huuuge reclining Buddha was very impressive too. Beng Mealea temple covered in trees and vines was incredible - nature is winning that one
