Guests who hunger to learn about Khmer cuisine can enroll in our half or full-day cooking class. Start the morning by exploring a local market where you will experience the hustle and bustle and absorb the flavor of a typical Cambodian market. You will have time to walk around, take pictures and observe vendors selling their wares. You will learn about local fruits, vegetables, and herbs and procure the freshest ingredients you need for the day's lesson.

Returning to our kitchen, our experienced chef will guide you through tried-and-true Khmer cooking techniques. Unlock ancient secrets of Khmer cooking through this authentic culinary experience. After the demonstration and with our chef's assistance, you will discover new tastes and textures as you learn to prepare traditional dishes, which will be enjoyed for lunch. The recipes are yours to keep so you can recreate the Cambodian culinary experience in the comfort of your own home and impress your friends and family.

Great afternoon cooking & market ingredients shop!

We were looking to find something different to fill an afternoon and this was perfect! Booked through Viator, it was well organised, everyone so kind, super fresh ingredients and very clean air conditioned cooking workspace.

They can organise a tuktuk collection for you or you get to the hotel/restaurant yourself. If you want picking up make sure you put on your form!

We paid $35 per person for the 3pm group start and greeted by friendly staff who informed us we were the only ones attending which was a nice surprise, gave us a food shopping list and their Head Chef LomAng Peark whisked us off into their own hotel owned tuktuk straight down the proper local market. The only westerns there which was refreshing. The market you can tell was quality because it didn't smell like some of the tourist markets you go to and their was ice on the meats and fish which really put us at ease the food was going to be great!

When we returned to the restaurant they setup cooking stations for us like MasterChef! Super clean, lots of staff assisting us and to give a helping if required, but not too much so it was very relaxed. Lots of smiling and laughed which was great! The cooking was really easy to follow which LomAng cooking too to show us everything. To top it off the food was incredibly delicious and a great experience! We finished about 6pm.

So glad I found this. I did a morning class, and liked it so much I came back the same afternoon to do another.

We went shopping for ingredients in the local market first. We prepared and cooked three dishes per class. The classes were small enough that we had lots of individual attention while we prepared and cooked everything ourselves. The food was delicious, and I have recipes to bring back with me.

The staff were friendly and fun, like all Khmer people are. Enjoyable and useful at the same fime. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing and memorable experience! The chef was so nice and talented. We were taken by tuktuk to the local market where she helped us get all the ingredients fresh. We were vegan and so got freshly made tofu instead of chicken for the curry. We learnt to make rice paper rolls, khmer yellow curry, and caramelised bananas. I think this was the most delicious curry I have ever made, although it was only because of the fresh ingredients and the chef’s help! At the end you get to eat it all as a big lunch, receive a certificate and recipe booklet. I highly recommend this as a great culinary experience!
Tip: we were staying at the same hotel so had eaten a large breakfast beforehand and were already full from the chef’s amazing cooking, this meant unfortunately we couldn’t finish everything we had cooked. I would definitely recommend coming on an empty stomach since you make so much tasty food for lunch!
Brilliant experience and tasty food

We took part in the half-day course with our three children aged 12, 15 and 16. It started with a trip to the local market to purchase the ingredients for the three course Khmer meal that we were to prepare and eat. All ingredients, utensils and cooking equipment was provided and the staff were excellent and very patient with us all. We were very impressed with ourselves for the food that we produced - we would all absolutely recommend this.

Greeted at the door which was a relief as the tuktuk took me to the wrong address.

I am familiar with Asian markets But some people may find it a bit of a shock.
I was grateful there was a vegetarian option.
Very cool to watch the coconut milk be made in front of you at the markets.

It was very nice To be offered a glass of water on arrival and a wet towel to wipe my hands.
The kitchen and the dining area was amazing to welcome you .
Very clean and free from distraction.
All the food was pre prepared which made the cooking simplified.
The chief explained how all the foods work together she also explained pros and cons of different ingredients..also exact cooking times.
I loved learning how to cut and prepare the vegetables. And understand how all the spices work together.

Very kindly they packaged it all up for me as I was solo I did not want to eat alone( nice as the environment was)and took the food home to share with my husband.!

The only thing I would have changed was the background music I would have preferred some more Cambodian style music than listening to Beyonce and Madonna.
