What To Expect

Angkor Wat

At 8am the tour guide and driver pick you up at the hotel lobby, bring you to get the ticket and starting the excursion by visiting Angkor Wat, then Angkor Thom city which includes south gate, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King. Lunch break. in the afternoon visiting Ta Prohm the jungle temple of Tomb Raider Hollywood movie in 2001 by Angelina Jolly,

Angkor Thom South Gate

It is one of five gate of the ancient city "Angkor Thom" that was built in the 12th century by the Buddhist King Jayarvarman7

Bayon Temple

This is a Buddhist temple built in the 12th century by King Jayarvaman7, it is very impressive structure in shape of pyramid, with 49 towers each one has 4 giant faces of Buddha looking to 4 directions, the temple has the wonderful sculpture and bas relief on the wall that depicting the daily life activities the army parade so on.

Ta Prohm Temple

It is one of the Buddhist temples built by King Jayvarman 7 in 12th century, King dedicated this temple to his mother Pranaparamita. It has been left untouched since it was discovered, so that why it is called the jungle temple, but now in order to let people visiting with ease, the restoration clear the small trees and keep the big ones.

Banteay Srei

Banteay Srei is known as City of the women or Women temple, it is located in the north of Angkor Wat about 30km. so it probably takes almost one hour drive.
It is surprising that this temple was built from the pink sandstone, that looks like gold, especially it is the hardest stone that keep the carvings and sculptures on it in good shape and intact.
