What To Expect

Angkor Thom South Gate
Full Day Tour Angkor Thom-Angkor Wat & Sunset Bakheng Hill, we will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the South Gate of Angkor Thom. It is a popular destination for tourists. On each side of the causeway are railings fashioned with 54 stone figures engaged in the performance of a famous Hindu story. The stone gate's center tower is topped by three face-towers facing each of the four directions (the central tower faces both out and in). Two sets of elephant statues flank the entrance on both sides, with the base of the gate in between them. A depiction of the god Indra, wielding his traditional weapon, the vadra, sits atop each elephant (a lightning bolt). The gate is corbelled at the top and styled like an upside-down "U." (Instead of arches, the builders of Angkor preferred to use corbelling to span distances). Through gaps in the stone, it is still possible to discern where wooden doors were formerly attached to the gate.

Bayon Temple
We then proceed to Bayon Temple (also known as the Four Smiling Faces Temple). The Bayon is a nicely designed Khmer Buddhist temple in Cambodia's Angkor Wat. The Bayon, which was built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII's state temple, is located in the heart of Angkor Thom, Jayavarman's capital. This is where you’ll see the famous smiling faces looking down on you from the 37 towers.

Ta Prohm
After that, we move on to visit Ta Prohm Temple (also known as Jungle Temple or Tomb Raider). Ta Prohm is the current name of a temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, that was originally known as Rajavihara and was built in the Bayon style in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The embrace of the jungle has made this location one of Cambodia's most iconic. Its collapsing towers and walls, encircled by massive tree roots, provide a unique ambiance that will take you to another age.

It takes around half an hour to reach the top and enjoy the sunset. After enjoying the sunset, we transfer back to your hotel. The End of Full Day Tour Angkor Thom-Angkor Wat & Sunset Bakheng Hill.
