What To Expect

Angkor Wat
We start our tour at Angkor Wat, which is a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world, as you may know, with an area of 162.6 hectares. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in honor of the Hindu god Vishnu. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize the five elements of Hindu cosmology: earth, water, fire, air, and space. The temple is renowned for its intricate carvings and bas-reliefs, which depict scenes from Hindu mythology. Angkor Wat is a popular tourist destination and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.

Ta Prohm
The next stop is at Ta Prohm. Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples at Angkor due to the fact that it was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider. The temple is Ta Prohm, a Buddhist monastery from the Khmer Empire era. As you walk through the main entrance, you’ll see massive trees growing out of the ruins and into the sky. These trees are actually helping to support the structure of the temple walls. You can see why it was chosen as a filming location for Tomb Raider, as it has a very mysterious feel to it.
