What To Expect

Beng Mealea
Should plan to departure from the hotel at 8.00am and go to purchase require temple pass $15.00/pax. these temple separate from Angkor ticket.

Background of the temple: Beng Melea is locating approximately 55km Northeast of Angkor, around 1 hours driving. Beng Melea has been a newly opened to the public temple, most probability in 1998. Through it has been not restored and is now a fairly ruinous state, almost totally overgrown by the multiple varieties of vegetation and is being surrounded by jungle. This larger-scale temple of Beng Mealea one of the very Hindu temple build in the 12th century in the reign of King who built Angkor Wat. This position of this temple was very strategic.

Koh Ker Temple
Koh Ker temple more than 100km, Northeast of Angkor and approximately 60 km from Beng Melea Temple.
What To Visit:

1. On the way through the first entrance before getting to the main and central spot of this ancient city, it is very interesting to make stop at the first site where the Prasat Pram Temple complex is locating.

Prasat Pram is the collection of the five temples constructed in the same premise. All of these towers were erected out of bricks and the small portion of sand-stone adorned to the door-frames and lintels bearing with inscriptions and cravings show Hindu divinities. The most elegant state is all towers are being overgrown by strangler fig, the tree that is seen growing on tops on many temples in Angkor. Prasat Thom consists of an extensively looted temple area that leads through to an open field where you’ll find Prasat Seven-tiered pyramid temple 55m (180ft) wide and 36m high, making it one of the tallest temple by the Khmer. Inscription indicate that the top level once housed a linga that may have stood four and a half meters (15ft) tall.
