What To Expect

Banteay Srei

The unpaved roads take us to the area of Kulen Mountains in the late morning. Here we have time to visit the ancient ruins of Banteay Srei temple complex, just over 20 kilometers from the main Angkor complex. Known as with many names “the lady temple”, “the tiny temple” or “pink temple”, this 10th-century Cambodian temple is an interesting place to marvel at the intricate carvings and graceful beauty of Khmer art.

Kbal Spean

We also explore the nearby Kbal Spean - an Angkorian era archaeological site. Set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor, this stunning riverbed is known for its thousands of stone carvings dotted around the area. Take an uphill walk to the top and marvel at the breathtaking view. In the tranquil setting of the jungle, just cool down and enjoy a picnic lunch box before returning to the foot of the mountain.
