The ancient city of Angkor Thom was the capital city of the Angkor Empire and here is where there is the highest concentration of temples anywhere in Cambodia. This is one of the most popular itineraries in Siem Reap which takes you to see Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Prasat Suor Prat, Preah Pithu Group, Preah Palilay, Terrace of the Leper King, Terrace of the Elephants, PHimeanakas, Bayon, Baphuon and the South Gate of Angkor Thom.

What To Expect

Angkor Thom

This popular tour will start after breakfast and we'll head straight to Angkor Thom. First of all, we'll stop at the South Gate to see causeway with the famous entrance gate which has the 4-headed statue on top. Once we enter the great city, we'll then head to the next famous place which is Bayon temple. Here, you will see the hundreds of faces which stare down at you from the many towers above. Next up is the popular area which consists of the Elephant and Leper King Terrace, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Preah Palilay, Prasat Suor Prat and Preah Pithu Group. You'll stop for something to eat at a local restaurant.

Angkor Wat

And then you'll go to see the world famous Angkor Wat temple in the afternoon. We'll be entering Angkor Wat from East entrance, this entrance flanks by tall trees on both side of the pathway leading to the main structure of the temple. From the pathway you'll see the stunning magic main shrine of Angkor Wat temple appearing in between trees, and of cause it is great sport to take photos. Our tour guide will explain you the history and religion of it both outside and Inside the main structure of temple.
