Ta Prohm Temple
After Angkor Wat, we’ll head over to Ta Prohm. This temple was built in the Bayon style in the late 12th and early 13th century. Ta Prohm was originally built as a Buddhist monastery and university. One of the unique features of Ta Prohm is that it has largely been left to the jungle and the trees are literally growing right through the middle of the temple. Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples in Siem Reap as it was used as the location for the Tomb Raider movie featuring Angelina Jolie.

Banteay Kdei
We will then head over to Prasat Banteay Kdei which means “A Citadel of Chambers” in English. This Buddhist temple was again built in the late 12th and early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. This temple is always quiet because it is not the famous temple, very pleasant to walk through it after visiting 2 famous temples before returning back to hotel for refreshing.

My mum and I went on this tour, and despite the early start it was amazing. Our guide was so informed, he took lots of time to explain the details. We got a lovely 3 hour break for lunch and then went back for sunset. The tomb raider temple is spectacular. Loved it so much we booked the Kampong Phluk trip the following day.

We loved the tour so much we booked another one with them for the next day (Kulen mountain,Banteay Srey etc). Our tour guide, Bunpheng, rocks! He’s so knowledgeable. You can hear how much he loves history and what he does with his descriptions and the way he tells his stories. The whole experience went smoothly and they were so very accommodating. I will not hesitate to book another tour with them when we come back. Thank you, Angkor Doors for a great experience!

We did a sunrise and sunset tour. Our tour guide, Bunpheng, was amazing!! He was so knowledgeable about the history and also knew all of the best photography spots. We never felt rushed. He was so patient with us. We always had cold bottles of water waiting for us in the relaxing vehicle that drove us from place to place. We enjoyed the trip so much that we then booked another tour to the kulen mountain, banteay srey, etc. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking both tours and if possible request Bunpheng as your tour guide!! IT WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
Wonderful guide and your! Thank you!

Wonderful experience with Bunpheng being an excellent guide!

Did 7 temples and the floating village, and although at times a bit tiring (not used to heat), always got energized when entering another beautiful temple.

Floating village is eye opening, one of a kind experience.
