What To Expect

Battambang is Cambodia's second-largest city and the capital of Battambang Province, which was founded in the 11th century. The name Battambang or Batdambang, literally means "loss of stick" referring to a legend of the Preah Bat Dambang Kranhoung (Kranhoung Stick King).

The tour will start first by visiting Phnom Banan Hill and climb the 337 steps to reach the Bannon temple. Banan Temple is originally 11th century-built, though it saw a Buddhist makeover during the 12th century and reign of Jayarvarman VII. The temple is constructed on top of a hill overlooking the Sangkar river and there’s a 358-step climb to the top, where five towers precariously remain.

At 12:00pm, we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
