Overview

The half day trip takes you passing Cambodia charming countryside dotting with palm trees, cows, water buffalos and farming activities before reaching the boat pier at Mechrey village. The boat trip greatly cruises along the canal leading to the less touristy Mechrey floating community in the impressive Tonle Sap whose daily life animated by fishing/trading activities on their rowing boats and learn how life relies on aquatic resources and along way return to Siem Reap ,Puok Silk Farm is available if you want to make a visit ( no additional charge)

What To Expect

Kampong Phluk Floating Village

Kompong Phluk is one of the village 30kg away from Siem Reap down town located in TONLESAP Great Lake in rainy season is a huge flooded forest in Asia and in dry season you would see houses on stilt which built in the original Khmer house style. TONLE SAP is the biggest fresh water lake in South East Asia, This Great Lake is very concern to the ancient Khmer Capitol Angkor City, in rainy season 150km. length by 75km. big and surrounding by 5 provinces where all provinces are always green and they could harvest twice times a year. • 2:00pm: Guide and Driver will pick you up from Hotel and Departure For sightseeing • 3:00pm: Take boat trip to visit houses on stilt, Buddish temple, School and see daily life of fishermen who living there. • 4:30pm Continue take boat trip to visit Flooded forest. • 5:30pm: Transfer you back to hotel

You will be greeted by our guide and driver at your hotel’s lobby (choose between morning or afternoon tour) then we’re heading to Mechrey floating village. The journey passes beautiful countryside before we embark a private sheltered boat to explore Tonle Sap Lake. The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is also an ecological hot spot that was designated as a UNESCO biosphere in 1997. The boat excursion takes us passing floating school, mangroves, floating houses which animated by some fishing activities. Our tour guide will explain you about Tonle Sap ecosystem and witness how life works in the floating community, and we stop to see floating crocodile farm, souvenirs shop if it interests you before we disembark and return hotel.
