What To Expect

Angkor Wat
At around 08:00 a.m., your driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel and start your guided tour. The private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to the first destination - Angkor Wat, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Four Wonders of the Orient. Passing by the elegant carvings, reliefs, sculptures, and buildings, you will get close to the 12th-century architectural art of Khmer.

* If you want to enjoy the sunrise view at Angkor Wat, feel free to contact your guide before travel. And it is recommended to have a nice dream the night before, as you will get much earlier for the beautiful scenery.

Bayon Temple
Situated centrally in the city, this 13th-century temple, your next stop, offers not only its exquisite carvings and reliefs but also a nice distant view of the tranquil Tonle Sap Lake. Seeing the story-telling reliefs, which depict the wars and lifestyle in the old times, you will learn about the vicissitudes of this city. And the over 50 stone Buddha faces, with peaceful smiles, seems like the unchangeable and placid witness to everything.

Baphuon Temple
Then you will head to Baphuon Temple, a Hindu temple with a history of over 950 years. Its construction represents the Baphuon-style structures. This three-storey temple features intricate reliefs, which cover all surfaces that can be carved. On the back of the temple, there sit the ruins of a massive reclining Buddha sculpture, which was once 70 meters long and 9 meters high. Through the ruins, you can imagine the devout of the disciples.

Ta Prohm Temple
Next, you will be guided to visit one of today’s highlights - Ta Prohm Temple, where the famous movie - Tomb Raider was shot. The ancient temple ruins, carved with religious patterns, are covered with enormous tree roots. Together they form a marvelous and mysterious scenery. Your visit here will be a lifetime experience.

Terrace of the Elephants
Your next stop is another 12th-century heritage – the Terrace of Elephants. It is a large platform where the emperors used to hold royal ceremonies, parades, and elephant fights. You will have a glance at the ancient craftsmanship through the vivid elephant sculptures at the edges and some delicate reliefs.

Phnom Bakheng
If you want to enjoy the beautiful sunset, your guide will take you to Ta Prohm Temple or the Phnom Bakheng for a nice view. Phnom Bakheng is located atop a hill and offers a distant view of various ancient temples in this area. This 9th-century temple itself also features some intricately-carved structures, which add more peace and sublime to the sunset.
