Tonle Sap Lake is the largest lake in South East Asia, covering five Cambodian provinces. Most inhabitants around Tonle Sap are fisherman who also farm in the dry season. Cambodian floating villages are different to Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar, because in Cambodia they are built high off the ground on tall posts. From May to October the lake is flooded from the Mekong River which is the main water source for Tonle Sap.
