What To Expect

We'll drive out into the countryside to see a real local village Here you can take a buffalo cart ride. We'll stop to drink coconut juice with a local family to learn about their culture. We'll also see a crocodile farm. In the summer time, you can see the locals weaving baskets and boxes made from palm leaves. Mechrey Floating Village is around 40km southwest of Siem Reap to the edge of the Tonle Sap Lake. Here, you'll see how around 300 families live their lives on the water. These ethnic Khmer families make their living from fishing, farming, shops and tourism. Along the way, we'll stop to try some deep fried insects, look at a rice paddy field with birds, cows, and buffaloes. You'll also take a short ride on a buffalo cart. We'll also stop to see a lotus farm and a duck farm. When we reach Mechrey Floating Village, you'll see floating houses, a school, restaurants, fish farm and crocodile farm. In the dry season, you'll also see many different species of birds here.

Our tour guide will explain the difference between city lifestyles and he will discuss with you to stop some places such as local Markets, shops, Buddhist Pagoda then drive out to Siem Reap city to see villages both on land and water.
On land, we’ll have a few stops in the village to see houses on land, paddy fields , lotus farm, duck farms .
On Water, we’ll take cruise to a floating village to see houses on water, how people there live and what they do for living.
